Waipu Boat & Fishing Club

On the east coast of Northland, Waipu is located between Whangarei and Mangawhai, with Bream Bay right at its doorstep, where you can enjoy great fishing and beautiful scenery.

Whether you want to fish for sprats with the kids on the river, hunt for flounder in the estuary, surf cast at Ruakaka or Waipu Cove, fish off the rocks at Langs Beach, head out from Marsden Cove Marina or over the Waipu bar into Bream Bay, there are plenty of excellent fishing spots within easy reach.

Even though the famous Hen and Chicks and Sail Rock are a short boat ride away, Waipu locals know you don't need to go that far.
